The injury occurred on the opening day of Uttar Pradesh’s Ranji Trophy clash against Jharkhand. Veer, an all-rounder touted as a potential long-term successor to the legendary Ravindra Jadeja, was forced to leave the field after landing awkwardly while fielding.
Early medical assessments suggest he will be sidelined for at least three to four weeks, effectively ending his domestic season and putting his IPL debut under a cloud of uncertainty.
