Top 10 GT Highest Scores in IPL History (2026 List)

PublishedMarch 16, 2026

Gujarat Titans (GT) burst onto the IPL scene by winning the trophy in their debut season in 2022. Despite existing for just four seasons (2022-2025), the franchise has already produced some massive batting totals.

GT’s highest score in IPL stands at 233/3, powered by Shubman Gill’s magnificent 129 in the 2023 Qualifier 2 against Mumbai Indians. Eight of the top ten totals came at their fortress in Ahmedabad, highlighting the Narendra Modi Stadium’s reputation as a batting paradise.

Five losses among the ten highest totals also prove that even 230 is not safe in modern T20 cricket. Here is a complete breakdown of GT’s top 10 highest IPL scores.

A Closer Look At Each Record Total

Here is the Brief Overview of Each Record of GT:

1. 233/3 vs Mumbai Indians – 26 May 2023, Ahmedabad (Qualifier 2)

Shubman Gill delivered a career-defining 129 off 60 balls at the Narendra Modi Stadium. He reached his fifty in 32 balls, then accelerated to bring up his third IPL century of the season off just 49 deliveries.

Sai Sudharsan and Hardik Pandya played supporting roles as GT posted 233/3 with just three wickets lost. Mohit Sharma then destroyed MI’s batting with a stunning 5/10, bowling them out for 171. GT won by 62 runs to reach their second consecutive IPL final. Gill’s 129 remains the highest individual score by a GT batter in IPL history.

2. 232/5 vs Punjab Kings – 25 March 2025, Ahmedabad

Chasing 244 in the opening week of IPL 2025, GT fell 11 runs short despite a spirited batting display. Sai Sudharsan top-scored with 74 off 41 balls, while Jos Buttler contributed 54 off 33.

Sherfane Rutherford (46 off 28) provided late hitting, and Shubman Gill scored a quick 33 off 14 at the top. Arshdeep Singh’s 2/36 and impact of Vijaykumar Vyshak’s tight death bowling denied GT. Shreyas Iyer’s 97 not out off 42 for PBKS had set the target beyond reach.

3. 231/3 vs Chennai Super Kings – 10 May 2024, Ahmedabad

GT posted 231/3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium against CSK during the 2024 season. The batting unit fired across all phases on a flat Ahmedabad surface, with multiple batters contributing to a commanding total.

GT defended the score successfully, adding another dominant home performance to their record.

4. 227/2 vs Lucknow Super Giants – 7 May 2023, Ahmedabad

GT lost just two wickets in posting 227/2, making this one of their most efficient high-scoring innings. The top order set the platform, and the finishers barely needed to accelerate. LSG could not match the total in the chase.

5. 224/6 vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – 2 May 2025, Ahmedabad

GT posted 224/6 at home against SRH during IPL 2025. Given that SRH had the most destructive batting lineup in the league across 2024 and 2025, this was a total GT defended successfully.

The victory at home against the most feared batting side in IPL underlined GT’s ability to compete with the biggest scorers in the tournament.

6. 220/8 vs Delhi Capitals – 24 April 2024, Delhi

Batting second at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, GT posted 220/8 in a high-scoring chase during IPL 2024. Despite losing eight wickets, GT’s batters kept swinging till the end.

The innings fell short of DC’s first-innings total, meaning GT lost despite crossing 220. This was one of several matches during IPL 2024 where even 220 was not enough to win.

7. 217/6 vs Rajasthan Royals – 9 April 2025, Ahmedabad

The home pitch again offered full value for shots, and GT’s batting unit capitalized. They went on to defend the total as the bowling unit restricted RR in the chase.

8. 214/4 vs Chennai Super Kings – 28 May 2023, Ahmedabad (IPL 2023 Final)

The IPL 2023 Final at their home ground. GT posted 214/4 after batting first, setting CSK a target of 215. Shubman Gill and the top order built a strong platform.

However, CSK chased the total down, with Devon Conway and the middle order timing their acceleration perfectly. GT lost the final by five wickets, ending their defence of the 2022 title. This remains one of the most heartbreaking losses in the young franchise’s history, with a 214 total at home proving insufficient.

9. 209/4 vs Rajasthan Royals – 28 April 2025, Jaipur

One of the rare entries on this list is away from Ahmedabad. GT posted 209/4 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur but lost the match.

RR chased the target down at their home ground, where batting conditions tend to favour the team familiar with the surface. This loss reflected the pattern across GT’s top ten totals: scoring big away from Ahmedabad has not always guaranteed results.

10. 208/6 vs Mumbai Indians – 30 May 2025, New Chandigarh (Eliminator)

GT’s final match of IPL 2025. Chasing 229 in the Eliminator, GT made a strong attempt through Sai Sudharsan’s 80 off 49 balls and Washington Sundar’s rapid 48 off 24.

But Jasprit Bumrah’s 1/27 in four overs choked the middle overs, and Richard Gleeson dismissed Sudharsan in a crucial 16th over. GT finished at 208/6, losing by 20 runs. The defeat ended their season and confirmed MI’s progression to Qualifier 2.

GT’s Batting Identity: Ahmedabad Fortress, Balanced Order

Four seasons in, GT’s batting record tells a clear story. Eight of the top ten totals came at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where flat pitches and short boundaries consistently produce 200-plus scores.

Shubman Gill has been the cornerstone across all four seasons, while Sai Sudharsan has emerged as the franchise’s most consistent run-scorer in 2024 and 2025.

Five losses among the top ten totals highlight the modern IPL reality: at Ahmedabad, even 230 batting first does not guarantee safety. With IPL 2026 starting on March 28, GT will look to add more dominant batting displays to a list that continues to grow every season.
